Every event, every ribbon cutting, and every voice we raise on behalf of Middleton business starts with volunteers who decided to step up. Our Board of Directors is made up of local business owners and community members who give their time to guide the Chamber’s direction, plan what happens next, and represent our members to local leaders.

You don’t need a title or years of Chamber history to serve — you need a genuine interest in seeing Middleton businesses thrive and a willingness to show up. Board and Officer positions open as terms turn over, and we’re always glad to talk with members who are curious about what’s involved.

What Board service looks like:

  • Help shape Chamber priorities, programs, and community events.
  • Advocate for Middleton’s business community with local and state government.
  • Build lasting relationships with fellow business leaders across the Treasure Valley.
  • Serve a defined term with a manageable, well-supported time commitment.
  • Leave a lasting mark on the town you’re already invested in.

Expectations:

  • Baseline requirement:  Board meeting 1  hour a month for meetings (either Zoom or at City meeting space) — additional short (15 min approx.)  during 4th and Bazaar prep to address urgent issues.
  • Events:
    • Ribbon cuttings: 2 per month.
    • Coffee & Donuts networking opportunity: 1 per month.
    • 4th of July: planning and prep 1 hour meeting a week for 6 weeks prior to event, executive officers should try to be at event at least 2 hours of the day; one director (Secretary or VP to maintain communication with committee leaders and day of volunteers).
    • Flexible events for the directors to determine currently are:
      • Bazaar: 15-20 min touch meeting per week to coordinate and set up, for 6 weeks prior to event. Committee leads to work with a member of the board on financing, communication with third parties’ wants and needs.
      • Business training events: This is generally coordinated with third party training. Committee head to communicate with VP or Secretary on needs/wants. 1 hour per event from 1 board member.
      • Luncheons: 1.5 hours 1 x month.

Curious whether it’s a fit? Let’s talk. We’ll walk you through the role, the term, and the time it takes — no pressure, no commitment.
